Driving Tuberculosis Progress Through Primary Health Care
Performance Review Meeting is in full swing at the Sawela Lodge Naivasha, Nakuru County. This annual event spotlights the vital role of Primary Health Care in the ongoing battle against TB and Leprosy across Kenya’s 47 counties.
Bringing together TB coordinators from both national and county levels, along with key partners, this event is a cornerstone for accurate representation and the sustained effectiveness of TB programming in Kenya. The focus spans the performance assessment of the year 2023, treatment outcomes for 2022, and the setting up of goals for 2024.
Funded by USAID under the HealthIT Project, the meeting which is clustered into two, reflects a commitment to enhancing TB and Leprosy management, and outcomes. This year’s pivotal theme, “Data-Driven Strategies for TB Control within Primary Health Care,” aligns seamlessly with the 2023-2028 National Strategic Plan. The emphasis is on integrating interventions with Primary Care, empowering communities to actively combat the disease.
