SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT AND PHARMACOVIGILANCE

This section is responsible for the entire supply chain cascade of therapeutic medicines of the TB-Program’s commodities to ensure uninterrupted supply of medicines as well as laboratory commodities and other commodities to all health facilities in the country. The pharmacovigilance aspect ensures highest quality of these TB commodities are used for treatment and ascertain their safety profile in care and management.

The section works jointly with NASCOP, Malaria and RH Programs in strengthening of RSSH, Pharmacovigilance and capacity building on LMIS. The NTLD-Program in collaboration with the three disease programs: NASCOP, Malaria and Reproductive Health developed joint activities for the Health Sector Strengthening (HSS) intervention in the country.

Supply Chain Management:

TB commodities are procured centrally and distributed to peripheral facilities based on consumption reporting. The team reviews orders and supply appropriately.

 

Pharmacovigilance:

Responsible for detection, assessment, understanding, reporting and prevention of adverse effects of medicine-related problem given to TB patients
